Challenges Faced
T.A. Knox was delighted to be invited by the Amano Group to return to the Amano Hotel in Covent Garden to fit out additional bedrooms. This hotel fit out project included varied fit out works and included the removal and strip out of existing bedrooms and bathrooms; this included disabled rooms before a complete transformation into a series of elegant bedrooms. T.A. Knox was elected as the main contractor to deliver and manage all components of the fit out from initiation to the handover.
Due to the area and hotel’s popularity, the Amano Hotel in Covent Garden has high
footfall so the fit out needed to be tightly monitored and managed. The program
was tightly time bound so delivery times and access routes were restricted. The
premium nature of the Amano hotel ensured that the fit out included high-value
items and decorative features that had to be closely monitored.

Access routes and time were analysed and implemented into the plan to ensure minimal public disruption and no program length alterations. Our joinery workshop worked overtime to provide all the bespoke joinery pieces within the tight program deadline.
Thanks to the careful planning and execution of the project, T.A. Knox was able to complete the hotel fit-out on time and within budget. The Amano has seen an increase in occupancy rates with its fresh new bedrooms giving the hotel a premium feel. The client was extremely satisfied with T.A.
